In this luscious design, juicy pomegranates glisten like jewels against a serenade of leafy blossom sprigs. Hand-painted and printed as a Liberty furnishing fabric in 1990, Nectar has been recoloured in rich and luminous hues. Linked by ancient mythology and historic symbolism, the decadent pomegranate is still celebrated today as the fruit of fertility, beauty, death and eternal life. Nectar is part of the Classical story of our Autumn/Winter 2023 collection – offering a celebration of the arts and crafts found from antiquity to neoclassicism, inspired by stories of Greek and Roman myth and interpreted through a vibrant contemporary lens.
